Authors of Human Energy Balance
(B) Human Energy Body organization; What happens when there is an energy imbalance in the human body? How can energy balance be measured? How can illness and/or conflict follow? There are a host of authors, known internationally, such as Dr. Carolyn Myss, Dr. C. Norman Shealy, Dr. Barbara Brennan, Elaine McCusick, Dr. Daniel Goleman, Dr. William Ury, Dr. David Lieberman, Dr. Vicki Monroe, Dr. Beatrice Chestnut, Dr. Andrew Weil, Dr. Joel Furhman, Dr. Diane Hamilton, Dr. Konstatin Korotkov, Dr. Mark Seem, Dr. Anthony Villodo, Dr. David Feinstein, Donna Eden, Anodea Judith, whose messages will appeal to many of you. Start looking at what it is to be human, as a constellation of energy centers that occupies an anatomical framework for this passage.
Author: Caroline Myss, PhD - Caroline Myss, MA, PhD worked as a religious book publisher in New Hampshire. A pivotal event was her visit to Alaska, where she studied the spiritual beliefs of Alaskan natives. She had also studied the work of Dr. Joseph Campbell on the human chakra energy centers. After her return from Alaska, Caroline suddenly realized that the 7 Asian Chakra energy centers corresponded to the 7 Spiritual milestones of Christianity. For example, she saw the relationship between Baptism and the Root (family) Chakra (1st Chakra). These perceptions evolved, and she soon was able to actually 'look' into a person's chakra energy centers to understand the causal relationships between emotions/attitudes/behaviors and illness and its severity. Carolyn said it was as if a movie was playing about the person's life. Accepting this incredible gift came with some anxiety. Caroline described this journey in her book, Anatomy of the Spirit. She also tells stories that show apology, forgiveness, and reciprocity are healing, when used together. Still later, she worked with neurosurgeon and Presidential Scholar, Dr. C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD, at his pain clinic in Kansas. Together the two brilliant scholars showed beyond any doubt that the chakra energy centers were real, totally functional, and added to our understanding of human health. They published their findings, as The Creation of Health. Still later, Dr. Myss compared the chakras to Jungian archetypes in Sacred Contracts, which she related to our callings, our missions in the hero's journey [Joseph Campbell]. Author: Carol S. Dweck, PhD. Carol Dweck, PhD is a well-known for her research on what helps people to achieve. Dr. Dweck recognized that an inner confidence in the ability to achieve or its absence can be identified in young primary-age school children. In many experiments, she showed that achievement requires far more than IQ, but rather, a belief that eventually with hard work the mission will be accomplished. This is in spite of the inevitable failures that arrive, often without anticipation. She summarized her viewpoints in the best-seller, Mindset: The New Psychology of Success. She used the term, Growth Mindset, to describe this attitude. To bolster her case, Dr. Dweck gives real classroom examples, such as a visit to the Chicago primary school classroom of legendary teacher, Marva Collins. Marva's students were by conventional measures, total failures, when they arrived in her classroom. For example, one of her students took apart a pencil sharpener and used the blades to destroy other student's garments. However, from that kind of background her students went on to be able to read the Wall Street Journal, write a review of any book, and perform mathematics at sophomore level of high school, even though they were still in the 6th grade. What made this remarkable achievement possible? It's all about belief in the possible and a willingness to work hard to get there, which is the opposite of the belief that your achievements are solely from your IQ. Read Dr. Dweck's moving accounts to understand what she has discovered about attitude and achievement in action. It's that conclusion, which Dr. Chase (see below) discovered was part of the Geometry of Emotions model, which he developed.

Author: Christopher Chase, MD is an author, retired anesthesiologist, medical acupuncturist and acupuncture researcher, former NIH funded researcher in computer applications to medicine, former cardiac anesthesia doctor, and currently inactive instrument-rated pilot. The emphasis of his current written work is based on his published, lead-article, paper, The Geometry of Emotions. This paper created an array of emotions, both positive and negative, located at the corners of the 5-sided pentagon, accompanied by the organs of the body and human chakra energy centers. From this beginning, a systematic definition of personality archetypes - 7 positive and 7 negative archetypes - was created. From that beginning, the 7 positive archetypes and their personality characteristics provide a detailed definition of what it means to have a Growth Mindset, (as conceived by Dr Dweck). Also, from these definitions, the 7 negative archetypes create a negative, fixed mindset that reinforces negative outcomes, including mismanagement of the team or family, lack of wealth and lack of health, anxiety, and fear, poor decisions, lack of caring, lack of spiritual orientation, poor emotional intelligence, lack of work skills & poor self-esteem, and a failure to be self or situationally aware, in order to see the truth. This emptiness and negativity leads to the societal fragmentation that we are experiencing, today. To oppose these negative. archetypes and reinforce the 7 positive archetypes, Dr. Chase developed the 14-step program, represented by the acronym, BUILD-UP-BRIDGES. This program and the consequences of positive and negative archetypes are discussed in his books:
Author: Dr. Barbara Brennan, PhD: Dr. Brennan was first known professionally, as a NASA physicist, whose mission was to predict future weather phenomena from current physical data. Since her childhood, Barbara had always been able to see a colored aura around the bodies of humans. Sometimes, this gift, which she did not disclose, had its humorous moments, when she would watch the colored auras of individuals interact, as they met. During the Washington riots, Barbara went to the top of the Watergate apartment complex, where she lived. Using her hidden abilities, she looked over the buildings to where the rioters were the streets. In that moment, the red auras of the rioters were so easily seen, reflecting their anger, and Dr. Brennan realized that it was time to reveal the extent of her observational powers. Those powers included an ability to see the human chakras and their interactions with the organs of the body, reflecting illness, when there are imbalances. Years later, Dr. Brennan had founded two 4-year universities and healed many patients with her power to invite energy change in the human body by energy being interventions. Her work represents a demonstration that there is a possible communication between healers in the time-dependent universe and healers in the time independent universe. What this means is that you have an opportunity for an 'out of this world' read, including 'energy surgery' requests by Dr. Brennan that are carried out by beings from another world. Seems impossible? This is why conventional western doctors are working at Dr. Brennan's schools to better understand what is happening. Dr. Brennan has written several books on the subject, using professional artists to show others what she is able to see. I think you'll find this to be a fascinating read, written by a true genius.

Author: Elaine Day McKusick, MS. Elaine McCusick has proven that quantum mechanics can be understood without heavy mathematics required to explain the concepts. Quantum mechanics is part of the 'energy clinician's life view,' since light is the building block of energy beings, and we are energy beings. It would seem unlikely, at first, for a certified massage therapist to end up with a body of knowledge about the energy chakras. However, Elaine's natural curiosity led her to use tuning forks to attempt to map out the 'energy borders' of the human aura according to their vibratory frequency. It was a step from there to use tuning forks and crystals to impart energy to the human chakra system via common acupuncture points, as a kind of massage therapy with remarkable therapeutic results. Beautifully written and honestly revealing about her remarkable life experiences, don't miss Tuning the Human Biofield. You can even sign up to take one of her courses to learn how to use special tuning forks as she does.

Author: Dr. Konstatin Korotkov, PhD. Dr. Korotkov is a Professor of Physics at St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. Dr. Korotkov has worked for over a decade at defining and experimenting with imaging techniques to capture the bio-photon 'cloud' of the human aura. Bio-photons are extremely low energy light particles, which manage cell functions. Dr. Korotkov is engaged in research to develop measuring devices that allow the rest of us to see the human aura. His research will literally 'open your eyes' to what we are about to see.

Author: Dr. Alberto Villoldo, PhD. With training in clinical psychology and anthropology, Dr. Alberto Villoldo loves to say that he traded in his university appointments for a pair of hiking boots, so that he could explore the world of the South American Shamans. Over a period of seven years, he became a certified Shaman. In his books, he describes the 'spiritual experiences' of this achievement, which included participation in healings, witnessing both the living and the dead, and watching the results of a student's dispute with a Shamanic Master. Dr. Villoldo now practices in the United States and offers courses on Shamanic principles and the human energy centers. He loves to write, as can be seen by his many books. He and colleagues teach courses on Shamanic principles, especially for clinicians, as well.

Author: Dr. Joseph Campbell, DDiv. Joseph Campbell was a Methodist theologian, who studied the Asian religions, extensively. He wrote about the Chakra energy centers and is famous for his book, Hero With a Thousand Faces (1949). He said that each of us was on a hero's 'mythic' journey. It was Campbell, who encouraged his listeners to 'find their bliss,' on the path of the mythic journey. It was Campbell, who defined the stages of this journey. His work greatly influenced the writers, Dr. Caroline Myss and Dr. Chris Chase. Dr. Chase's Geometry of Emotions is a guide to the explorer on a mythic journey to better understand the adversities that we must confront. As he looked at the mythic journey, Campbell defined its steps that concludes with the hero returning to his family with the new found wisdom from surviving the mythic quest.

Author: Ms. Diane Musho Hamilton Roshi, PhD is a gifted mediator, facilitator, and teacher of Zen and serves as the Director of Two Arrows Zen in Salt Lake City, Utah; where she was previously the Chief Mediator of the Salt Lake City Court System. Her husband and co-director of Two Arrows Zen is Michael Mugaku Zimmerman, the former Chief Justice of the Utah Supreme Court. The book is also a personal biography, which is a testimony to her strength of character and determination. As a professional mediator, Dr. Diane Hamilton uses archetypes to help crime victims role play in their recovery from the trauma of crime. She explains her role and the advantages of using archetypes of personality in her book, Everything is Workable.
Personal note from Chris on this selection: As part of my literature search, after I had developed archetypes of personality for clinical work, I (Chris Chase MD) found Diane's work, Everything is Workable that showed archetypes could be used in mediation work with great success. In a similar manner, archetypes can be used to help patients, who have chronic illness, in terms of teaching the danger of negative mindsets. Then, of course, this leads to the discovery that positive archetypes are the ingredients to success, and mirrors the kinds of behaviors advocated by authors, such as Napoleon Hill, in Think and Grow Rich. I call all of these positive personality characteristics, the Pillars of Common Ground. So, there is a cross-reaction between success stories and the management of conflict and illness. This is part of the reason that I've felt so compelled to tell the story of Law of Attraction Success Tips.

Author: Anodea Judith, M.S. is a clinical psychologist, writer, and an authority on the psychology and healing elements of the chakras. For medical researchers, like myself, her work was a ready source of the personality elements of balanced and unbalanced chakras, which I used as a resource to help me specify the personality elements for each corner (vertex) of the pentagon and the associated chakras (See Eastern Body Western Mind). The actual position of the chakras on the pentagon came from the work of the internationally known chakra acupuncturist, Dr. John Cross, Ph.D., PhDAc. Dr. Cross also comments on the emotions associated with balanced and unbalanced chakras, and you can find his works in the references on acupuncture.
